FootStop Service- to ease up the choosing for right footwear 19.3.2007

"Urho Viljanmaa Oy -Jalas a Finnish leading developer of occupational and safety footwear in Scandinavia launched nearly two years ago in A+A fair Düsseldorf its new service - FootStop Service. The intention of service is to help feet ergonomic, fit shoes properly and prevent feet problem due to false alignments on the feet and lower limbs.

As strain injuries are the most common single health-related cause of absence from work and right support and footwear are crucial in preventing such injuries. The service has got very good feedback among end-users. Scanner-based measurement system helps companies to prevent strain injuries and this way save money caused of long-period absence from work.

New technology has spread fast and over 60 measurement points are in operation all over the Scandinavia. During 2006 nearly 60 000 special insoles were sold and for the coming year the goal is to help over 100 000 people to get better fitting and support with Jalas special insoles. Due to challenges with coping at work will increase a need of this type of service.
Company's goal for 2010 is to sell yearly one million pairs of Jalas occupational and safety footwear.

Jalas will take part in the FIP World Congress 2007, 26. - 28. May in Copenhagen and A+A Fair in Düsseldorf 2007, 18. - 21. September and exhibit the FootStop Service."
